Theo Vorster was born on 11 May 1964 in a small Free State town called Zastron. During June 1977, whilst the family holidayed in Durban, he experimented with his mother’s camera at the Oceanarium. The end result was beautiful action photographs of the dolphins which exited him immensely and convinced him to take up photography.
He started his photography “life” with a Pentax K1000 camera, but during his army training, he invested in his first NIKON camera. He has never looked back and is the proud owner of various vintage Nikon cameras. He is currently using the Nikon D4 and Nikon D500 with a Sigma 120-300mm f2,8 lens.
As the years passed, he gained experience in most photography genres – architecture, events/shows, journalism, sport, weddings, model, and wildlife photography which all form part of his portfolio.
BUT his greatest photography passions are WILDLIFE, MODELS and SPORT. He has recently focused more on sport, as action photography is always a challenge to get the right picture at the exact right moment,
PHOTOGRAPHY IS MY PASSION – A TALENT I RECEIVED FROM GOD WHICH I LOVE TO SHARE WITH FRIENDS!
